Anonymous asked: Is there any kind of blog for secondary ed major memes? A lot of these seem to be just for those of us studying the little'uns.

Hey tumblr!
As you can see, FYEMA is back. Somewhat. I don’t have much time to devote to this tumblr lately and the only reason I’m able to attend to it now is a sudden case of conjunctivitis! :( So if you want an active FYEMA tumblr, I’m relying on your submissions! You can make your own FYEMAs here: http://memegenerator.net/Fuck-Yeah-Education-Major-Apple Save the image URL, send it...

Summer Camp Good Attitude Incentives
I work at a summer camp and I’m also an education major.  Something new I’m doing this year for our summer camp program is creating passports for the children grades 2nd and 3rd for field trips we will be going on every week, at least 3 times a week.  Each child will get a passport of his or her own and teachers will stamp their book at the end of the day if they had a...

What kind of reward/incentive systems do you have...
I give my students different coloured tokens for high quality work, using their manners, being a good listener etc… and they can use these tokens to buy rewards from our class shop, which opens every Friday afternoon. Different items will set them back a different number of tokens, so if they choose, students can save up to buy bigger rewards instead of spending them all on little things.

naklengwiinga asked: As for the PRAXIS... if you don't know your stuff, it's too late. :/ It's a general knowledge test, and you should have learned all of it in your program in college. Some of the tests are harder than others, I hear. The English Content test is pretty easy!

Let's give this tumblr discussion a shot!
I just got back from a free sign language class for teachers and students that our deaf education aides set up! For our first lesson ever, the turnout was fantastic and I thought it was great to see so many people in our school community interested in learning how to sign. Is there something your school, a school you know of, or a school you have worked at does that you think is special? It could...

FYEMA hits 700 followers!
Who knew so many teachers/student teachers had tumblr? LET ALONE THE INTERNET? Anyway, to celebrate I would like to ask your opinion on something I’ve been considering. How would you feel if this tumblr - in addition to spamming your dash with hilarious memes - was used as a platform for teachers and student teachers to communicate with each other? In other words, every now and then...
